My name is Pastor Dr. Fikre H. Norcha, and I serve as the founding senior pastor of Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church (ECFCMO) in North Kansas City, Missouri, where I live with my loving wife, Alem B. Tekalgn, and our three children—Amanuel, Yesem, and Mieraf. Before moving to the United States, I served for over two decades in Ethiopia as an evangelist, church planter, denominational leader, and founding pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Ethiopia (PCE). During that time, I also published a book in Amharic titled The 21st Century Discipleship and Its Contemporary Challenges. I hold an M.Div. from Calvin Theological Seminary and a PhD in Biblical Studies–Systematic Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. My most recent work, Grieving the Holy Spirit: Understanding Paul’s Theology of “Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit”, is currently in the publication process. Before entering full-time ministry, I was trained as an electro-mechanic and worked at the Ethiopian Electric Light and Power Authority (EELPA). My wife, Alem, is trained in computer science and has also studied at an Amharic Bible School. She has served in a parachurch evangelistic ministry, contributed to women’s ministry, and continues to lead the women’s ministry at ECFCMO.
